Gonda: A slogan competition and awareness rally on the theme “Healthy Nutrition, a Brighter Nation” were organised at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Degree College to mark the conclusion of Nutrition Week. The programme was conducted under the direction of Acting Principal Professor Jitendra Singh and led by Dr Chaman Kaur, Coordinator-in-Charge of the college’s Cultural Committee.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness among students and the public about balanced diets, nutrition, health and healthy lifestyle practices.

Students participated enthusiastically in the slogan competition and used creative, thought-provoking messages to highlight the importance of proper nutrition. This was followed by a large awareness rally that began from the college campus and passed through the main road of the district headquarters.
Carrying placards displaying nutrition-related slogans and wearing caps bearing messages on healthy eating, students urged people to adopt nutritious diets, avoid junk food, maintain cleanliness and follow healthy lifestyle practices. The rally reverberated with slogans promoting nutrition and hygiene.
At the conclusion of the rally on the college campus, Acting Principal Professor Jitendra Singh administered a pledge on health and nutrition to the participants. He said healthy citizens are the foundation of a strong nation and that a well-nourished society is essential for building a developed and empowered India.

College Deputy Chief Proctor Professor Arvind Kumar Sharma praised the students for their enthusiasm and active participation while ensuring discipline during the rally. He said awareness programmes of this nature encourage young people to understand their responsibilities towards society and motivate them to contribute to national development.
Dr Rekha Sharma, Dr Manoj Mishra, Dr Harish Shukla, Dr Rachna Srivastava, Dr Mamta Shukla, Dr Mukti Tandon, Dr Smriti Shishir, Dr Priyanka Srivastava, Dr Manisha Pal, Dr Dharmendra Shukla, Dr Ila Tiwari and Dr Yogendra Nath Srivastava also contributed to the successful organisation of the programme.
Professor Jitendra Singh and other faculty members congratulated Cultural Committee Coordinator Dr Chaman Kaur for successfully organising the awareness rally despite challenging weather conditions caused by rain.
