Gonda: A live screening of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s programme marking the launch of the Uttar Pradesh Outsourcing Services Corporation (UPCOS) was organised at the District Panchayat Auditorium in Gonda on Wednesday, with a large number of outsourced employees from various government departments participating.
The programme featured the unveiling of the UPCOS logo and the launch of its website and portal. Outsourced personnel and officials from different departments watched the live proceedings, including the Chief Minister’s address.
The initiative is aimed at providing outsourced employees with a more organised, transparent and efficient system of services while giving greater priority to their welfare and interests. Through UPCOS, the state government seeks to integrate and streamline processes related to outsourced personnel and bring greater transparency to their management.
During the programme, demonstration cheques reflecting the increase in honorarium for outsourced employees were distributed by public representatives and government officials. The announcement of increased remuneration generated enthusiasm among the employees, who expressed appreciation for the state government’s efforts towards improving their welfare.
Officials present at the programme highlighted the important role played by outsourced employees in ensuring the smooth functioning of various government departments. They said initiatives such as UPCOS would help create a more transparent and systematic mechanism for managing outsourced personnel and ensuring that they receive the benefits intended for them.
A large number of outsourced employees working in different departments across the district attended the event. They welcomed the launch of the UPCOS logo, website and portal and appreciated the government’s initiative to increase their honorarium.
At the conclusion of the programme, officials and employees described the formation of the Uttar Pradesh Outsourcing Services Corporation as an important step towards employee welfare, transparency and good governance. They said the initiative could help establish a more accountable and streamlined system for outsourced workers across the state.
District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, District Development Officer Aditya Tiwari, District Cane Officer Sunil Kumar Singh, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Devipatan Division, Gonda, Siddharth Modiyani, Divisional Employment Officer, District Employment Officer Priya Gautam, BJP District President Akbal Bahadur Tiwari and officials and public representatives from various concerned departments were present during the programme.
