Lucknow: Forty trainee Assistant Environmental Engineers and Assistant Scientific Officers from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) undertook an exposure visit to the 56 MLD Daulatganj Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Lucknow. During the visit, the trainee officers gained a close understanding of the plant’s operational mechanism, management systems, and the various processes involved in sewage treatment.

Amaresh Sinha, the Plant In-charge at Daulatganj STP, provided the trainee officers with detailed information regarding the plant’s operations and the entire sewage treatment process. He explained the workflow, ranging from the arrival of sewage at the STP and its treatment across various stages to the procedures for ensuring water quality post-treatment.

During the exposure visit, the officers inspected various units of the plant and studied the technical aspects of sewage treatment. The objective of the visit was to provide the trainee officers with practical knowledge regarding sewage management and environmental conservation.
