Gonda Police Arrest 85 Non-Bailable Warrant Accused in Two-Day Special Drive

Gonda: In a major crackdown on absconding offenders and wanted criminals, Gonda Police arrested 85 non-bailable warrant accused during a two-day special enforcement campaign conducted across the district under the direction of Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal.

The operation was launched as part of the district police’s ongoing efforts to curb crime and ensure the execution of pending court warrants. Senior police officials, including all gazetted officers, station house officers, and police inspectors, were instructed to intensify efforts to trace and apprehend wanted individuals and long-pending warrant accused within their respective jurisdictions.

The campaign was carried out under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (East) Ajit Kumar Rajak and Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Radheshyam Rai, with circle officers leading specially constituted teams at the police station level.

According to police officials, coordinated raids and verification drives were conducted across multiple locations, resulting in the successful arrest of 85 individuals against whom non-bailable warrants had been issued by courts.

Among the police stations recording significant action, Paraspur Police Station registered the highest number of arrests with 19 warrant accused taken into custody, followed by Kotwali Nagar Police Station with 15 arrests and Kotwali Karnalganj Police Station with 11 arrests.

Other arrests included six accused by Itiyathok Police, five each by Kotwali Dehat, Kharagupur, Dhanepur, and Tarabganj Police, four by Katra Bazar Police, three each by Motiganj and Kaudia Police, and one accused each by Kotwali Mankapur, Nawabganj, Wazirganj, and Umri Begumganj Police Stations.

Police officials said the special drive reflects the department’s commitment to strengthening law enforcement, ensuring compliance with judicial orders, and maintaining public safety. The campaign also serves as a warning to absconding offenders that legal action will continue until all pending warrants are executed.

Senior officers have indicated that similar targeted operations will continue in the coming weeks as part of the district police’s broader strategy to crack down on criminal elements and improve the overall law-and-order situation in Gonda.

The district police have appealed to citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and share information regarding wanted individuals to help maintain peace and security in the region.
