Bareilly: Residents of Bareilly and nearby districts now have easier access to Aadhaar-related services with the smooth functioning of the city’s first Aadhaar Seva Kendra established by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). The newly operational centre is located at Gulmohar Park in Rajendra Nagar, near Sankalp Hospital on K.K. Hospital Road.
According to officials, the Aadhaar Seva Kendra offers a comprehensive range of Aadhaar services, eliminating the need for citizens to visit multiple locations. Residents can enroll for a new Aadhaar card, update their address, mobile number, email ID, photograph, and biometric details. The centre also facilitates corrections in personal information such as name, date of birth, and gender.
Equipped with modern technology and customer-friendly infrastructure, the facility has been designed to provide efficient and hassle-free services. The centre operates on the lines of Passport Seva Kendras, with dedicated and trained personnel assigned to different service counters to streamline the process and reduce waiting times.
Officials stated that the centre has the capacity to process approximately 1,500 Aadhaar-related applications every day, enabling quick and systematic service delivery. A dedicated helpdesk has also been established to assist visitors with documentation requirements, appointments, and other queries.
An important feature of the facility is its transparent fee structure. Citizens are charged only the service fees prescribed by UIDAI, with no additional charges levied for any Aadhaar-related service. This ensures reliable and affordable access to essential identity services for the public.
The Aadhaar Seva Kendra remains open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., making it convenient for working professionals, students, and senior citizens to avail themselves of services. To further enhance convenience, citizens can book appointments online through the official UIDAI portal.
