Packed Schedule Includes Public Hearing, Project Inspections and Village Outreach

Gonda: Divisional Commissioner of Devipatan Division, Durga Shakti Nagpal, will undertake an extensive visit to Gonda district on June 23, focusing on public grievance redressal, review of development projects, and direct interaction with beneficiaries of government welfare schemes.

According to the official schedule, the Commissioner will begin the day with a public hearing session from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, where residents will have the opportunity to present their grievances and concerns directly before the administration. The session will also include a review of pending public complaints and departmental issues to ensure timely resolution.

Following the public hearing, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., the Commissioner will hear concerns raised by government employees and pensioners, including senior citizens facing pension-related or departmental issues. Officials from concerned departments have been instructed to remain present with all relevant records and documentation to facilitate prompt action.

A significant part of the visit will be devoted to monitoring development works. Between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., Nagpal will inspect ongoing construction and infrastructure projects across the district. The inspection will focus on assessing the quality of work, progress status, and adherence to prescribed timelines. Physical verification of projects will also be carried out to ensure transparency and accountability in implementation.

District authorities have directed officials and staff from concerned departments to remain available at inspection sites with all necessary documents. Prior to the Commissioner’s visit, a three-member technical team constituted at the district level will examine the projects and submit a detailed report.

The day will conclude with a “Sandhya Samvad” (Evening Dialogue) programme from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in a selected gram panchayat. The outreach initiative aims to strengthen direct engagement between the administration and rural communities. Special camps will be organized by various departments to facilitate access to government welfare schemes for eligible beneficiaries.

During the programme, selected beneficiaries of different government schemes will also receive certificates and official documents. The initiative is intended to improve the last-mile delivery of welfare services and gather direct feedback from citizens regarding the implementation of government programmes.

Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal has directed all concerned departments to complete preparations well in advance to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the visit. District-level administrative machinery has already begun making arrangements for the programme.
