Lucknow: Adverse weather conditions in Delhi led to the diversion of four incoming flights to Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA), Lucknow, on Friday. Airport authorities ensured smooth handling of passengers and coordinated closely with airlines and Air Traffic Control to minimize inconvenience.
According to airport officials, the first diverted flight, Akasa Air flight QP 1814 operating from Goa to Delhi, landed in Lucknow at 3:09 pm with 160 passengers on board. One passenger opted to deboard at Lucknow, and the flight later departed for Delhi at 4:37 pm.
An Air India flight AI 2419 from Mumbai to Delhi carrying 86 passengers was diverted to Lucknow and landed at 3:18 pm. After weather conditions improved, the aircraft resumed its journey and departed at 4:51 pm.
An IndiGo flight 6E 1064 operating from Bangkok to Delhi, with 215 passengers on board, landed at Lucknow at 4:01 pm and departed for the national capital at 4:59 pm.

Another IndiGo flight 6E 6560 from Patna to Delhi carrying 176 passengers was diverted and landed at Lucknow at 3:53 pm. The flight later took off for Delhi at 5:13 pm.
Airport authorities stated that all necessary arrangements were made to ensure passenger comfort during the unscheduled halt. Ground staff, airline representatives and air traffic management teams worked in coordination to facilitate seamless operations and timely departures once weather conditions in Delhi improved.
The diversions underscore the importance of operational preparedness and coordinated response mechanisms in maintaining passenger safety and minimizing disruptions during adverse weather conditions.
