UP RERA Launches 41st Real Estate Agent Training Programme in Greater Noida

Four-day certification programme aims to strengthen professionalism and transparency in Uttar Pradesh’s real estate sector

Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar: Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority has launched its 41st Real Estate Agent Training Programme as part of its ongoing efforts to make the state’s real estate sector more professional, transparent and accountable.

The four-day training programme commenced on Wednesday at the Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology campus in Greater Noida and is being organised in collaboration with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University.

A total of 45 participants from different districts of Uttar Pradesh are attending the programme with the objective of becoming certified and registered real estate agents.

The programme was formally inaugurated online by Sanjay Bhoosreddy. The ceremonial lamp lighting was carried out by Revenue Officer Anshuman Singh and Deputy Secretary Pankaj Saxena.

Senior UP RERA officials, including Secretary Mahendra Verma, Principal Advisor Abrar Ahmad and Joint Secretary K K Singh, also joined the inaugural session virtually. Assistant Professor Mohit Awasthi attended the programme as part of the academic collaboration.

Addressing the inaugural session, Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said that the training and certification mechanism is a significant step towards ensuring a more disciplined, accountable and regulation-compliant real estate ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh. He stated that participants would receive practical and detailed knowledge about the provisions, rules and regulations related to the Real Estate Regulatory Act (RERA).

Highlighting long-standing challenges in the real estate sector, Bhoosreddy noted that lack of transparency and accountability had adversely affected promoters, agents and homebuyers alike. He said the establishment of RERA was aimed at safeguarding consumer interests while ensuring transparency and trust in the sector.

The Chairman further informed participants that an examination would be conducted at the end of the training programme, and only successful candidates would receive certification and become eligible for registration as licensed real estate agents.

During the first day of training, Revenue Recovery Officer Anshuman Singh conducted a detailed session on the RERA Act and UP RERA rules and regulations. Consultant Raghavendra later addressed participants on project registration procedures, promoters’ responsibilities and compliance-related issues. Advocate Atul Singh also conducted a session focusing on the rights and responsibilities of allottees.

UP RERA officials said that making training and certification mandatory before agent registration is a key policy initiative aimed at strengthening professional standards in the real estate industry and protecting the interests of homebuyers across the state.
