New Delhi/Lucknow: In a significant achievement for Lucknow’s academic community, Piyush Singh Chauhan, Vice Chairman of SR Group of Institutions (SRGI), has become the youngest educationist from the city to deliver a talk at a TEDx platform. He addressed the audience at TEDxGGSIPU 2026, held under the initiative of the CSR Club as part of Srijan, Directorate of Students Welfare (DSW).
The milestone highlights Chauhan’s growing influence in the education and leadership ecosystem while reinforcing SRGI’s emergence as a progressive institution contributing to national-level thought leadership.
Theme Focus: Legacy to Leadership
Speaking on the theme “OG – Old is Gold: Legacy to Leadership,” Chauhan delivered an engaging and thought-provoking address blending philosophy, leadership insights, and personal experiences. He emphasized resilience, values, and the importance of legacy in shaping effective leadership in today’s fast-evolving world.
Using a striking analogy, he said, “Gold is not born in comfort—it is forged under intense heat and pressure,” underscoring that true leadership emerges through challenges rather than ease.
Powerful Storytelling and Leadership Insights
Through a compelling story of two stones—one that resisted hardship and another that endured it to become a revered idol—he illustrated how adversity can transform individuals. His message resonated strongly with the audience, positioning challenges as catalysts for growth and excellence.
Youth as a National Strength
Highlighting India’s demographic advantage, Chauhan noted that with over 65 percent of the population under 35, youth represent the nation’s greatest strategic asset. He called for channeling this energy into innovation, leadership, and nation-building.

Legacy and Institutional Vision
Reflecting on his journey, Chauhan credited the vision of his father, Pawan Singh Chauhan, who founded SRGI in 2009 with just 240 students. He emphasized how strong foundational values continue to guide the institution’s growth and long-term vision.
A Call for Transformational Leadership
In his concluding remarks, Chauhan urged young leaders to transform legacy into leadership, embrace challenges as opportunities, and step beyond comfort zones to create meaningful impact.
Quoting a powerful line, he said, “To build your own Dwarka, you must be willing to leave a conquered Mathura,” leaving the audience with a message of courage and transformation.
A Proud Moment for Lucknow’s Academic Community
Chauhan’s participation at a global intellectual platform marks a moment of pride for SRGI and the wider educational fraternity of Lucknow. It reflects not only individual excellence but also the rising prominence of the city’s education leaders on national and international stages.
