SBI Pensioners Association Hosts Holi Milan and Cultural Evening in Lucknow

Lucknow: The State Bank Pensioners Association organized a vibrant Holi Milan and cultural evening at the State Bank main branch premises, bringing together pensioners and their families for a joyful celebration.

The event was graced by senior officials of the State Bank of India, including General Managers Anil Kumar and Rajeev Kumar, along with CDO Dhirendra Mahe. Deputy General Managers Dheeraj Kumar and Raghvendra Kumar, and Assistant General Manager (HR) Deependra Yadav were also present. The association was represented by its President Dinesh Chandra and General Secretary Atul Swarup.

Focus on Pensioners’ Welfare

Addressing the gathering, General Manager Anil Kumar emphasized the importance of such events, stating that they have a positive impact on the health and well-being of pensioners. He reiterated that the bank remains committed to safeguarding the interests of its retired employees.

Welcoming the attendees, General Secretary Atul Swarup noted that such gatherings provide an opportunity for reconnecting and infuse new energy and enthusiasm among members.

Cultural Performances Steal the Show

The event began with a traditional Ganesh Vandana, followed by a series of musical performances that created a lively and nostalgic atmosphere.

Mukesh Mehrotra captivated the audience with “Ghungroo Ki Tarah Bajta Raha Hoon Main,” while P.N. Pandey’s rendition of “O Meri Zohra Jabeen” added to the musical charm. Anoop Somani’s “Bol Radha Bol” and Anita Agarwal’s “Teri Umeed Tera Intezaar” received warm appreciation from the audience.

Sanjeev Agarwal drew applause with a parody of “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas,” while Rajkumar performed “Hum Tere Shehar Mein Aaye Hain.” Diksha Mehrotra, Anil Agarwal, and Neeraj Srivastava also delivered soulful performances that resonated with the attendees.

The highlight moments included Ajay Kapoor’s rendition of “Aane Se Uske Aaye Bahaar” and R.R. Nagar’s “Baat Niklegi To Door Talak Jayegi,” which kept the audience engaged throughout the evening.

Strong Participation and Conclusion

The event was anchored by Zonal Secretary Sanjeev Agarwal. According to Media In-charge Anil Tiwari, nearly 300 pensioners and family pensioners attended the event, along with prominent members such as K.K. Singh, V.K. Awasthi, and G.S. Bhandari.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by President Dinesh Chandra, who reiterated that both the bank and the association are continuously working towards the welfare and well-being of pensioners.

The colorful celebration not only marked the spirit of Holi but also strengthened the sense of community and belonging among SBI pensioners in Lucknow.
