Lucknow: Following a successful opening, the second day of the Uttar Pradesh International Film Conclave 2026 concluded on a high note with a diverse lineup of panel discussions, film screenings, and industry workshops. The event continues to position Uttar Pradesh as an emerging global hub for filmmaking and creative collaboration.
Morning Session: OTT Platforms and Ethical Landscape
The day began with an inaugural session at the main auditorium, attended by distinguished guests including Mahendra Singh, Rajesh Jais, and Aditya Srivastava.
A key highlight of the morning was the second academic paper presentation, which explored the sociological impact of digital media. Titled “Streaming Values: How OTT is Reshaping India’s Moral Landscape and Binge-Watching Culture,” the session was chaired by Prof. Mukul Srivastava, Dr. Nimish Kapoor, and Dr. Ruchira Chaudhary. The discussion delved into how streaming platforms are influencing societal norms, consumption patterns, and audience behavior.
Strategic Dialogue: Uttar Pradesh as a Film Hub
The afternoon sessions focused on strengthening the local film ecosystem through policy support and infrastructure development.
In a celebrity interaction session titled “Uttar Pradesh – The Next Film Hub,” Rajesh Jais and Aditya Srivastava shared their perspectives on the state’s growing appeal for filmmakers.
Another important panel discussion on “Strengthening Regional Cinema: Policies, Practices, and Possibilities” featured Alok Porwal, Amit Aryan, Dr. Shivdarshan Kadam, and Prof. Madhav Sharma (actor), who emphasized the need for institutional support and innovation to boost regional storytelling.


Technical Excellence and Media Dialogue
The post-lunch session was dedicated to skill development, with the Nikon India team conducting a specialized photography workshop for filmmakers and visual artists.
This was followed by a high-level Press Editors Meet, where five leading editors engaged in discussions on the evolving relationship between cinema and media in the digital age.
Grand Valedictory Ceremony
The conclave concluded with a formal valedictory ceremony held at the main auditorium. The event celebrated the achievements of the two-day conclave, including awards, acknowledgments, and reflections on key takeaways.
Organized by the Film Society of India in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Tourism, the conclave successfully brought together industry experts, policymakers, and creative professionals on a single platform.
Throughout the day, attendees also enjoyed multiple film screenings (Screenings 5 to 9), film introductions, and live Q&A sessions, offering a vibrant showcase of diverse cinematic voices.
