Foundation Stone Laid for ‘Panchayat Utsav Bhavan’ in Palhapur Village

Gonda: A foundation stone laying ceremony for the proposed Panchayat Utsav Bhavan was held in Palhapur Gram Panchayat under Karanailganj development block, marking a significant step toward strengthening rural infrastructure and community facilities.

The ceremony was attended by Karanailganj MLA Ajay Singh, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, and Chief Development Officer Ankita Jain, along with several public representatives and officials. The event was organized in the presence of local villagers and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the community.

The program began with Vedic chanting and traditional rituals, following which the dignitaries jointly performed the Bhoomi Pujan and formally laid the foundation stone for the Panchayat Utsav Bhavan.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Ajay Singh said that the construction of such buildings at the पंचायत level will promote social, cultural, and community activities in rural areas. He noted that the Panchayat Utsav Bhavan will serve as a dedicated venue for meetings, training sessions, public programs, and social events, thereby accelerating development activities in the village.

District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan emphasized that the government aims to strengthen and empower Gram Panchayats. She stated that the construction of the Panchayat Utsav Bhavan will facilitate the organization of community programs and improve coordination between the administration and villagers.

Chief Development Officer Ankita Jain highlighted that the building will provide a suitable space for awareness campaigns, training programs, and activities related to various government schemes, encouraging greater participation of villagers in development initiatives.

Among those present on the occasion were Sub-Divisional Magistrate Karanailganj Neha Mishra, DRDA Project Director Sushil Kumar Pandey, District Panchayat Raj Officer Lalji Dubey, BJP District President Akbal Bahadur Tiwari, along with other public representatives, officials, Gram Pradhans, Panchayat representatives, and a large number of villagers.
