Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the progress of several ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects across the state during a high-level meeting at his official residence in Lucknow.
The Chief Minister directed officials to accelerate land acquisition for various proposed expressways, emphasizing that a strong infrastructure base is essential for sustaining the state’s rapid economic growth. He said development projects in the state are not limited to building infrastructure but also serve as a foundation for investment, employment generation, and improving the quality of life of citizens.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of key expressway projects including the Chitrakoot Link Expressway, Farrukhabad Link Expressway, Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link Expressway, Jhansi Link Expressway and Jewar Link Expressway. District magistrates were instructed to expedite land purchase and remove all obstacles to ensure early commencement of work.
The Chief Minister stressed that the expansion of the expressway network would boost investment, industrial activities, and balanced regional development across the state. He also directed all departments to ensure that ongoing projects are completed within stipulated timelines while maintaining high quality and transparency.
Officials informed the meeting that the main carriageway of the Ganga Expressway has been completed, and the remaining work is progressing rapidly. Plans to extend the expressway from Meerut to Haridwar are also under consideration. The Chief Minister directed authorities to complete all remaining work on schedule and prepare the expressway for early operations.
The progress of the Noida International Airport project was also reviewed. Officials informed that the airport has recently received a provisional aerodrome licence and land acquisition and development work are progressing swiftly. The Chief Minister instructed that all related works be completed in a coordinated manner.
He also reviewed the development of a Multi-Modal Logistics Hub and Multi-Modal Transport Hub in Greater Noida and directed officials to complete land acquisition and construction within the stipulated timeline. The meeting also discussed the Chilla Elevated Flyover project, where strict compliance with construction quality and contractual conditions was emphasized.

In the irrigation sector, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the Middle Ganga Canal Project Stage-II and the Erch Irrigation Project, stressing that irrigation projects are vital for improving agricultural productivity and must be prioritized.
The meeting also assessed energy sector initiatives, including the proposed pump storage project in the Rihand-Obra region, environmental upgrades in thermal power plants, and a proposed 100 MW solar power plant in Jhansi. The Chief Minister directed that energy generation capacity and clean energy projects be advanced at a faster pace.
Tourism and urban development projects were also reviewed, including the proposed Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre in Vrindavan Yojana and the Night Safari project in the Kukrail area, which are expected to boost tourism and the service sector.
The Chief Minister further reviewed land acquisition progress in the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority area and directed officials to complete the process by June. He also called for widening of roads connected to interstate and international borders and reviewed the embankment protection project of the Ghaghara River in Basti district.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed the progress of a 300-bed cancer hospital in Lucknow, the Chief Minister Model School scheme, and the ‘Zero Poverty’ campaign aimed at identifying extremely poor families and linking them with government welfare schemes. The Chief Minister also stressed the need to strengthen the CM Young Entrepreneur Development Campaign by providing training and support to aspiring entrepreneurs.
