Gonda: In view of the upcoming Holi (Rangotsav) and the holy month of Ramzan, Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal conducted an extensive inspection of security arrangements across the city to ensure peace, communal harmony, and robust law and order in the district.
During his visit, the SP reviewed security measures at major intersections, crowded marketplaces, sensitive and mixed-population areas, religious places, and key routes. He assessed the deployment of police personnel, the functionality of CCTV cameras, and traffic management systems to ensure comprehensive preparedness.
Strict Instructions to Police Personnel
SP Jaiswal issued clear directives to officers on duty to remain fully alert and vigilant during the festive period. He instructed that any incidents of hooliganism, forcible application of colors, drunk driving, reckless bike stunts, harassment, or activities by anti-social elements must be dealt with promptly and strictly under the law.
Police Response Vehicles (PRVs), mobile patrol units, and foot patrol teams have been directed to remain continuously active and respond immediately to any information or emergency.
Public Appeal for Harmony
The SP appealed to residents to celebrate Holi and observe Ramzan with mutual respect, brotherhood, and communal harmony. He urged citizens not to pay attention to rumors and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or the police helpline.
The Gonda Police has implemented extensive security arrangements to ensure that the festivals are conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner. Adequate police force, including women personnel, has been deployed at key locations. Surveillance through drones and CCTV cameras, strengthened traffic management, and continuous patrolling have also been ensured.


Monitoring Social Media
SP Jaiswal also directed concerned officers to maintain strict vigilance over social media platforms. He instructed that any individual attempting to spread rumors, circulate misleading or objectionable posts, or disturb communal harmony must face stringent legal action. The Cyber Cell and social media monitoring teams have been specifically tasked to remain on high alert.
Senior officers, including Additional Superintendent of Police (East) Manoj Kumar Rawat, City Circle Officer Anand Kumar Rai, and other officials were present during the inspection.
District police officials reaffirmed their commitment to providing a safe and peaceful environment for all citizens during the festive season.
