Techfest 5.0 Begins at National Post Graduate College with Innovation and Enthusiasm

Lucknow: Techfest 5.0, the annual inter-collegiate technical festival organised by the Department of Computer Science at National Post Graduate College, commenced on Wednesday with vibrant enthusiasm and active participation from students across the city. The three-day event is being held under the guidance of Dr. Shalini Lamba, Head of the Department, and Prof. Devendra Kumar Singh, Principal of the college.

The inaugural ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by an inspiring address by Principal Prof. Devendra Kumar Singh, who emphasised the importance of innovation, creativity and practical learning in shaping future-ready professionals.

A key highlight of the opening day was a guest lecture by Dr. Arunabha Mukhopadhyay, Professor of Information Technology and Systems at Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, who shared valuable insights on emerging technological trends and real-world applications.

The major attraction of Day 1 was “Expo Renaissance,” an innovation showcase featuring Hardware and Software categories, where students presented creative and impactful technical solutions. Other engaging events included “Last Protocol,” “Brand Blitz,” and an IT Quiz, all witnessing enthusiastic participation and healthy competition.

Around 500 students from institutions such as Amity University, University of Lucknow, BBD, LPCPS, Modern Girls College and others took part, making the event a grand inter-collegiate success.

The techfest will continue with Code-a-Thon, Pixel Perfect and Future Forge on Day 2, followed by final presentations, prize distribution and a musical performance by Swar Band on Day 3.
