UP Metro Wins First Prize at Regional Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Exhibition–2026

UP Metro Honoured for Excellent Display of Artistic Group of Six Flower Pots

Lucknow: At the Regional Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Exhibition–2026 held at Jan Bhavan premises, Lucknow, on February 06, 07 and 08, 2026, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UP Metro) was awarded the First Prize “Shri Rajyapal Chal Baijayanti” for its outstanding performance.

UP Metro received this award in the category “Section 2 – Artistic Group of Six Flower Pots (for gardens maintained by institutions)”, in which the attractive, creative and well-organised floral display presented by the organisation was adjudged the best by the jury and the exhibition committee.

During the closing ceremony and prize distribution programme of the exhibition, the award was received on behalf of UPMRC by Director (Operations), Shri Prashant Mishra. Several distinguished guests and officials were present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that UP Metro had participated in the exhibition held from February 06 to 08, 2026, by setting up its stall. In previous years as well, UP Metro has consistently received appreciation for its excellent participation and creative horticultural designs at this exhibition.

Earlier, on February 06, 2026, Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel, visited the UPMRC stall and obtained information about metro projects, green initiatives and activities related to environmental conservation. She especially appreciated the creative floral presentation, including the grand floral installation of Lord Garuda, the UPMRC logo, and other floral structures.

Metro Souvenirs and Toy Train Remain the Centre of Attraction

At the UPMRC stall, information was displayed on the features of the Lucknow Metro project, the East–West Corridor, and ongoing development works of the Kanpur and Agra Metro projects. Visitors showed keen interest in the metro souvenir items, toy train and other materials displayed at the stall.

UPMRC Managing Director Shri Sushil Kumar stated that receiving the first prize at the regional flower exhibition is a matter of pride for the organisation and reflects UP Metro’s continuous efforts not only in public transport but also in promoting a green and aesthetically pleasing urban environment.
