Grand All India Bodybuilding Championship Held in Lucknow

Lucknow: The auditorium of Natya Kala Kendra at Kaisarbagh resonated with the spirit of sports and fitness as the All India Bodybuilding Championship 2026 was successfully organised by the Lucknow Builders and Fitness Association. The national-level event witnessed the participation of leading bodybuilders from across the country, who showcased remarkable strength, discipline and physical excellence.

After intense competition held across multiple rounds, Naushad Khan of Karnataka was crowned “Mr India Bodybuilder 2026,” while Anjana Kushwaha from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, was declared “Miss India Body Fitness 2026.” Apart from these top honours, several talented athletes from different states won titles in various weight and category divisions.

The championship featured multiple categories ranging from 55 kg to 100 kg, and also saw strong participation from specially-abled athletes, highlighting inclusivity in the sport.

Winners were selected strictly in accordance with international standards. Referees, judges, jury members and selectors evaluated participants on parameters such as physique, symmetry, muscle definition, balance and stage presentation.

Event organiser Abbas Ali said that the primary objective of the championship was to provide a national platform for bodybuilders from across India to showcase their talent and gain wider recognition.

Senior social worker Mohammad Saif Quraishi stated that such events play a crucial role in promoting bodybuilding as a sport and motivating youth towards fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Charakhari (Mahoba) MLA Brij Bhushan Singh Rajput and Harchandpur (Raebareli) MLA Rahul Shiv Ganesh Lodi attended the programme as chief guests. They presented shields and medals to the winners and honoured distinguished guests with shawls and mementoes.

Several prominent personalities were present as VVIP guests, including Mohammad Arif (Arif Jewellers), Councillor Rajeev Bajpai, Journalists’ Association General Secretary Abdul Waheed, accredited journalist Parvez Akhtar, Aamir Mukhtar, Mohammad Naseer, Vijay Trivedi, Abbas Haider, Advocate Zeeshan Ali, Shadab Chaudhary, Dr Mohammad Adil and many other dignitaries.

A memorable and emotional moment was witnessed during the programme when the birthday of young social worker Mohammad Saif Quraishi was celebrated on stage with a cake-cutting ceremony. MLA Brij Bhushan Singh Rajput and other dignitaries extended their best wishes on the occasion.

At the conclusion of the event, organiser Abbas Ali expressed gratitude to all guests, participants and supporters for their cooperation and thanked everyone for contributing to the success of the championship.
