Over 450 Youth Watch Nation-Building Film ‘Dhurandhar’ on Dr. Rajeshwar Singh’s Initiative; Sanjay Dutt Joins Virtually

Lucknow: In a strong push towards nurturing patriotism, discipline, and national consciousness among the youth, a special screening of the nation-inspired film Dhurandhar was organised on Friday at Phoenix United Mall on Kanpur Road. The initiative was led by Sarojininagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, under which more than 450 youths from the constituency watched the film together.

The screening aimed at strengthening the ideological, moral, and national character of young citizens by connecting them with ideals of sacrifice, duty, discipline, and service to the nation. The event turned even more inspiring when renowned actor Sanjay Dutt, who plays a powerful police officer in the film, joined the programme virtually. His interaction significantly boosted the enthusiasm and motivation of the young audience.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh praised Sanjay Dutt’s impactful performance and his portrayal of courage and commitment to national duty. During the interaction, the actor also expressed his desire to visit Lucknow in the future and meet the youth of Sarojininagar. The MLA remained present inside the theatre throughout the screening, personally encouraging the participants and engaging with them.

The atmosphere during the event reflected a strong sense of discipline, excitement, and responsibility towards the nation. While Dhurandhar entertained the audience, it also delivered a powerful message on choosing the right values, the right mindset, and the right direction in life.

Addressing the youth, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said that citizens must remain alert, aware, and prepared at all times. Referring to incidents such as Pulwama, Uri, the Parliament attack, Akshardham, and the Mumbai terror attacks, he said these events underline that national security is not limited to borders alone but is equally dependent on vigilant citizens and committed youth.

He emphasised that patriotism is not merely an emotion but a continuous commitment rooted in discipline, preparedness, and the principle of “Nation First.” Every young citizen, he said, must remain mentally and morally prepared to safeguard the unity, integrity, and security of the country—this, he added, is the true essence of patriotism and the hallmark of a strong India.

Dr. Singh reiterated his belief that the foundation of nation-building rests on aware, value-driven, and patriotic youth. In line with this vision, the special screening of Dhurandhar proved to be a meaningful effort to reconnect young minds with history, awaken self-pride, and foster a positive civic outlook. He affirmed that such inspiring, value-based initiatives aimed at promoting nationalism, discipline, and constructive thinking among the youth of Sarojininagar will continue in the future.
