Lucknow: The Lucknow Police have announced extensive traffic diversion arrangements in view of the proposed inauguration ceremony of the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal at Vasant Kunj Yojana, Lucknow, scheduled to be held on December 25, 2025.
According to the police advisory, traffic and diversion measures will come into effect from 12:00 midnight on December 24, 2025, and will remain in force until the conclusion of the programme. The arrangements have been made to ensure smooth conduct of the event and to avoid congestion in and around the programme venue.
Internal Traffic Diversions
Movement of heavy, large and commercial vehicles, along with general traffic, will be restricted on several routes leading towards Baj Nagar Kisan Path, Chhandoiya Bypass, Bhitauli Tiraha, Dubagga Tiraha, Budheshwar and adjoining areas. Such vehicles will be diverted via alternative routes including Mohan Road Zero Point, Kisan Path, Andhe Ki Chowki Tiraha, Engineering College Crossing, Indira Bagh Kisan Path Underpass, Sitapur Road, and other notified corridors. No vehicular movement will be allowed from Dubagga Tiraha towards Chhandoiya or Sitapur Bypass, while traffic from Nahar Pul Tiraha will not be permitted towards Budheshwar.
External Traffic Diversions
To prevent traffic pressure within the city, heavy vehicles coming from Kanpur, Unnao, Sitapur, Hardoi, Sultanpur Road, Rae Bareli Road and Barabanki Road and heading towards districts such as Ambedkar Nagar, Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Ballia, Ghazipur and Azamgarh will be diverted through Purvanchal Expressway and other designated inter-district routes. Alternative long-distance routes via Fatehpur, Lalganj, Bachhrawan, Haidergarh, Bahraich and Gonda have also been notified.
Emergency Exemptions
Police clarified that during the event, in case of medical emergencies or unavoidable circumstances, vehicles such as ambulances, fire services, school vehicles and hearse vans may be permitted on restricted routes subject to traffic police approval.
