Lucknow: In a significant breakthrough, Husain Ganj police have arrested the notorious auto thief Golu Rawat, known for orchestrating multiple vehicle thefts across the city. During the operation, police recovered two stolen autos from his possession.
The accused was apprehended in the Sanyog Nagar area while in possession of a stolen auto bearing registration number UP32 PN 9153. During interrogation, acting on his confession, police also recovered a second stolen auto (UP33 CT 9448) from the Udayganj area.
The operation was led by Station In-Charge Shiv Mangal Singh, under whose guidance the police team successfully carried out the arrest. According to officials, Golu Rawat had been executing auto thefts in a professional manner and had evaded police capture for a long time.
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is underway.
