Women Take Center Stage in Unique All-Female Ramleela Performance in Lucknow

Lucknow — In a grand and unique celebration of Dussehra, the Women’s Ramleela Committee staged an exceptional Ramleela at Chandra Panorama, Sushant Golf City, where all key characters were portrayed by women.

Rohini Singh played Lord Ram, Rupal Gupta portrayed Sita, and Rachna Sharma took on the role of Lakshman. The revered Hanuman was brought to life by Megha Shivhare, while Dr. Swati Gupta depicted Parshuram. Trupti Srivastava embodied the demon king Ravana, Kiran Sharma appeared as Bharat, and Anu Tiwari played King Dashrath.

Other notable portrayals included Nandita Vishwakarma as Meghnath, Mini Dixit as Manthara, Shalini Mishra as King Janak, and Vandana Pal as Surpanakha. Talented child artists added further vibrancy to the performance.

The script and production were managed by Geetika Tiwari, with direction by Kiran Sharma. This all-female ensemble sent a powerful social message, emphasizing that women are excelling in tradition, culture, and leadership across all spheres.

The event was attended by a large audience who appreciated the innovation, dedication, and empowerment message behind this exceptional rendition of the timeless epic.
