Adopt a Disciplined Lifestyle for Better Heart and Lung Health: Dr. Bhavatosh

Lucknow – “Good health begins with personal awareness and discipline. A simple diet and a balanced lifestyle are the key to keeping both the heart and lungs healthy,” said internationally acclaimed thoracic surgeon Dr. Bhavatosh Biswas of Vivekananda Polyclinic and Institute of Medical Sciences.

He was addressing a health workshop organized by the Uttar Pradesh NeDA Department, where he stressed that heart and lung diseases often turn fatal because early symptoms are ignored. “By the time many patients consult doctors, their condition has already worsened. We must pay attention to our body’s signals and seek timely medical advice,” he said.

Highlighting lung ailments, Dr. Biswas explained that persistent coughs and breathing difficulties could indicate lung cancer or other chest-related tumors and cysts. “Awareness and timely consultation are crucial for early diagnosis and treatment,” he noted.

On the occasion, Uttar Pradesh NeDA Director Indrajit Singh praised Dr. Biswas’s contributions to healthcare. Dr. Biswas also extended gratitude to Swami Muktinathananda, President of Ramakrishna Mission, Lucknow, for facilitating free health check-ups for NeDA officials and staff at Vivekananda Hospital.

The workshop saw participation from senior project officer Rajesh Singh, Pankaj Singh, S. Rehmani, and a large gathering of departmental staff and officials.
