LUCKNOW — Isabella Thoburn College celebrated Arbor Day on August 7, 2025, with great enthusiasm and a strong message of environmental stewardship. In a show of solidarity with the day’s theme, all students and staff were dressed in traditional green attire, symbolizing their commitment to a cleaner and greener campus.
The day’s events began with a special address by Principal, Dr. Major Neerja Masih, who spoke to the students in the college auditorium. She emphasized the importance of maintaining the college’s legacy, stating that it is our heritage and it is our collective duty to keep it clean and green. Her words resonated with the audience, reinforcing the sense of responsibility each member of the college community holds towards their environment.
A key highlight of the celebration was the honoring of the college’s gardeners, who were presented with bouquets for their tireless efforts in maintaining the lush campus throughout the year. Following the ceremony, a large-scale plantation drive was initiated across the entire campus. In a demonstration of community participation, both teachers and students actively contributed by donating and planting saplings, further enriching the college’s green landscape.
