AAP Holds Massive Workers’ Convention in Bahraich, Sanjay Singh Calls for Grassroots Mobilization and Struggle on Public Issues

Bahraich: In a powerful show of strength and strategy, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held its Buddha Pradesh-level Workers’ Convention in Bahraich. The event, led by Rajya Sabha MP and UP in-charge Sanjay Singh, saw participation from thousands of party workers and leaders from across districts. Singh emphasized a robust organizational push ahead of the 2026 Panchayat elections, along with an unwavering focus on public welfare issues.

“AAP Runs on Sweat, Not Money” – Sanjay Singh

In his keynote address, Sanjay Singh underlined that AAP’s mission is rooted in service and struggle, not corporate funding.
“The country doesn’t need religious or caste-based strife. What people need is employment, education, and healthcare—not bulldozers on the homes of the poor,” he said.
He announced a state-wide “Har Ghar Sampark Abhiyan” (door-to-door campaign) from July, aimed at strengthening committees at booth, block, and assembly levels to expand the party’s reach.

Bold Attacks on BJP Governments

Singh slammed both the Modi government at the Centre and the Yogi government in UP, accusing them of prioritizing crony capitalism and bulldozer politics over people’s real needs.

“Modi loves Trump, Trump loves Pakistan, but AAP workers love Bharat Mata,” Singh quipped, drawing loud applause.

He also alleged large-scale corruption under the Jal Jeevan Mission, where newly built water tanks collapsed even before inauguration, and criticized the Ayushman Bharat scheme, citing ghost patients and embezzlement.

Major Announcements and Protest Plans

Sanjay Singh announced statewide protests against:

  • Closure of 27,000 government schools

  • 35% hike in electricity tariffs

  • Poor power supply and increased outages

  • Presence of over 6,000 schools with only one teacher

He declared that AAP will “fight tooth and nail for every farmer, student, unemployed youth, and middle-class family affected by these regressive decisions.”

Strengthening AAP in UP for 2026

Singh urged workers not to remain silent in the face of injustice, saying:
“If you raise your voice against any wrongdoing around you, the people of Uttar Pradesh will stand with you.”

He stressed the importance of building a strong, grassroots organizational structure across UP’s 403 assembly constituencies. The convention in Bahraich was part of a larger campaign with similar events being organized in all eight AAP regions in the state.

Poetry, Patriotism, and Passion

Former Delhi MLA Dilip Pandey delivered a stirring poetic address:

“We are not afraid of lathis and jails; what will you do to us, when we are ready to die for our motherland…”
His words ignited a patriotic fervor among attendees.

Local Leadership Echoes the Vision

  • Imran Latif, Buddha Pradesh President, said AAP will set new records in Bahraich during the Panchayat polls.

  • Firoz Haider, Bahraich District President, committed to strengthening the party base in every home.

“Double Engine is Now Scrap” – Sanjay Singh

In his closing remarks, Singh declared the so-called “double engine” of BJP governments as “rusted and broken”, stating that under the Modi regime:

“India has been auctioned from sky to earth to Adani, while the poor are told to be happy with 5 kg of ration.”

He also pointed to the glaring contradiction in India’s economic claims, saying:

“If we are the world’s fourth-largest economy, why are we 140th in per capita income?”

Need for Organizational Unity

Outgoing UP President Subhajeet Singh said,
“To challenge the politics of hate in Uttar Pradesh, we must first build a strong and united organization—from cities to villages.”

Mass Participation and Senior Leaders Present

The event witnessed participation from a vast pool of senior AAP leaders and office-bearers including:

  • Dilip Pandey, Anil Jha, Surendra Chaudhary – State Co-incharges

  • Subhajeet Singh – Former State President

  • Vanshraj Dubey – Chief Spokesperson

  • Vinay Patel, Neelam Yadav, Dr. Chhavi Yadav, Commando Ashok, and many others

The convention concluded with massive enthusiasm, poetic passion, and clear political resolve. The Aam Aadmi Party looks poised to intensify its presence in Uttar Pradesh, with Bahraich being a key milestone in its march toward 2026.
