Morning Yoga Session Held at Janeshwar Mishra Park Promotes Wellness in Nature’s Embrace

Lucknow : In a tranquil celebration of wellness and tradition, the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi (under the Department of Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh) in collaboration with the Bharatiya Adarsh Yoga Sansthan, Lucknow, organized a special yoga session titled “Yoga in the Peace and Purity of Nature” at Janeshwar Mishra Park on Thursday, June 19. The event commenced at 6:00 AM, drawing participation from artists, academicians, and yoga enthusiasts.

The session saw active involvement from Akademi Chairman Prof. Jayant Khot, Vice-Chairperson Smt. Vibha Singh, Director Dr. Shobhit Kumar Nahar, staff members from the Akademi, Kathak Kendra, Jayghosh, and students from ongoing summer workshops. Members of the Bharatiya Adarsh Yoga Sansthan were also present in good numbers.

The program began with a soulful prayer and chanting of ‘Om’, setting a serene tone for the morning. Renowned Yoga Guru Shri Krishna Dutt Mishra led the session, guiding attendees through a series of yogic exercises. He not only demonstrated each asana but also elaborated on their therapeutic benefits, explaining how each posture contributes to the prevention or alleviation of various health issues.

The event concluded with Shri Krishna Dutt Mishra presenting floral bouquets as tokens of respect and gratitude to the Chairman, Vice-Chairperson, and Director of the Akademi.

The session highlighted the holistic benefits of yoga and underscored the significance of connecting with nature for overall well-being.
