Assistant Security Commissioner Kailash Chandra Conducts First Inspection of Shri Ganganagar Railway Station

Shri Ganganagar: Newly appointed Assistant Security Commissioner (IRPFS) of Bikaner Division under North Western Railway, Kailash Chandra, conducted his first inspection of the Shri Ganganagar railway station on Thursday following his recent transfer. The visit aimed to assess the station’s overall security arrangements and address key concerns of railway personnel and passengers alike.

During his visit, Chandra held a comprehensive meeting with RPF Station In-charge Rajkumar and GRP Station In-charge Dharmpal. The discussion focused on critical issues such as passenger safety, protection of railway property, assistance to commuters, and measures to prevent passenger-related crimes.

Emphasis on Sensitive and Supportive Conduct

In the meeting, Chandra emphasized that RPF personnel must maintain a sensitive and cooperative approach toward passengers. “Security personnel should ensure safety while also behaving in a manner that makes travelers feel supported and respected,” he stated.

Inspection of RPF Station and Issuance of Directives

The Assistant Security Commissioner also conducted an inspection of the RPF police station, engaging with officers and personnel to understand their grievances and suggesting actionable solutions. He instructed all staff to maintain a courteous demeanor and be ever-ready to assist passengers, reinforcing a passenger-first approach.

Focus on CCTV Monitoring and Infrastructure Improvements

Chandra reviewed multiple key areas of the station, including the RPF station, storage rooms, office records, circulating areas, waiting rooms, platforms, and the CCTV monitoring room. He directed S&T in-charge Phailiram Meena to ensure timely repairs and proper installation of non-functional CCTV cameras. He stressed the need for efficient surveillance to curb criminal activities.

Well-being of Personnel Also Addressed

The inspection also included visits to the RPF barracks and mess facilities. Chandra instructed officials to ensure the provision of nutritious meals and a healthy living environment for all personnel.

With a clear focus on both public safety and staff welfare, Assistant Security Commissioner Kailash Chandra’s maiden inspection marks a proactive step towards enhancing the operational efficiency and passenger experience at Shri Ganganagar railway station.
