No Water, No Tap – Then Why the Bill? Traders Launch Awareness Campaign Under Sandeep Bansal’s Leadership

Lucknow: Raising a pertinent question — “No water, no tap – then why the bill?” — the Akhil Bharatiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal and Uttar Pradesh Yuva Udyog Vyapar Mandal organized a trader awareness march in the Aminabad area of Lucknow, under the leadership of National President Sandeep Bansal. The rally commenced from Nazirabad and saw active participation from prominent trader leaders.

While addressing the traders, Bansal questioned the logic of issuing water bills to commercial establishments where no water supply, tap, or official connection exists. He strongly demanded that the Jal Kal Department immediately halt the issuance of such arbitrary bills. Encouraging unity among traders, he urged them not to pay such unjustified charges and informed them that the matter has already been raised in the State Assembly. A discussion with the Chief Minister on this issue is expected shortly.

“To ensure that the entire trading community is informed, we launched this awareness campaign in the Aminabad area today. Similar drives will continue across different markets in Lucknow,” Bansal stated. He also appealed to officials and staff of the Jal Kal Department not to harass traders until a final decision is reached on the matter.

A large number of traders assembled in Nazirabad to support the movement and participated in the door-to-door awareness drive, distributing pamphlets outlining their demands and concerns.

Key leaders who took part in today’s campaign included Suresh Chhablani (President, Akhil Bharatiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal, Lucknow Mahanagar), Akash Gautam (State General Secretary, Youth Wing), Anuj Gautam (Lucknow General Secretary), Rajiv Agarwal, Amar Nath Chaudhary (Senior Vice President), Padam Jain, Shubham Maurya (General Secretary), Sabir Hussain, Patanjali Singh (District In-Charge), Sanat Gupta (General Secretary), and Sanjay Nidhi Agarwal (Social Media In-Charge), among many others.

The awareness drive covered major commercial hubs such as Nazirabad Bazaar, Mohan Market, Jhande Wala Park, Indira Market, Maulvi Ganj, Subhash Marg, Rakabganj, and Pandeyganj. During the campaign, trader leaders including Pradeep Agarwal, Rajesh Gupta, Sunil Dhameja, Deepak Singh Saryu, and Mohammad Rais were also met and handed informative pamphlets to further the cause.
