Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the Gorakhpur whose name used to cause fear 15-20 years ago, where the imagination of facilities was meaningless seven years ago, the same Gorakhpur is now becoming a confluence of development and employment with modern thinking and a new tourism hub.
CM Yogi Adityanath was addressing the function organized on the lake’s jetty after inaugurating the floating restaurant ‘Float’ built in Ramgarhtal on Thursday by pressing the button. On this occasion, he also distributed allotment certificates to seven allottees of Greenwood Apartment, a residential project of Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA).
The Chief Minister said that people used to be afraid of the name of Gorakhpur a decade and a half ago. Even seven years ago, Gorakhpur was miles away from development. Coming to the place (Ramgarhtal area) where this event is being held today was just a dream. The Chief Minister said that Ramgarhtal had become the bastion of filth and crime in Gorakhpur. A separate force had to be deployed for the guests and ministers staying in the circuit house. The fertilizer factory of Gorakhpur had closed down. The BRD Medical College here itself had become sick. The people of Gorakhpur had to remain stuck in traffic jams throughout the day.
Discussing the changes that have come about in the last seven years, Yogi said that today Gorakhpur has four and six lane roads. The airport here is one of the busiest airports in the country. Gorakhpur has excellent railway connectivity. The fertilizer factory has started functioning again. BRD Medical College has become an excellent centre of medical treatment. AIIMS is also operational.
Ramgarh Lake was almost dead, now attracting tourists with a new aura
The Chief Minister said that Ramgarhtal had once become almost dead. Whereas today this natural lake spread over 1800 acres is attracting tourists with a new aura. New hotels are opening here. Cruise facility had already started in Ramgarhtal. Today a floating restaurant has also been inaugurated. Now if you feel like having refreshments and food on the banks of the natural lake, then this facility is available in Gorakhpur itself. The Chief Minister said that development is also taking place with modern thinking and this development is also becoming a means of employment.
Guests and tourists will get five star facilities in Gorakhpur
CM Yogi said that now guests and tourists coming to Gorakhpur will get five star facilities. He told that a ring road is being built around Ramgarhtal. This will make it a whole day’s program for people to go out with their families, guests and tourists. After seeing the beauty of the lake all around, we went to the cruise and floating restaurant and then went to the zoo and enjoyed with nature. The Chief Minister said that the night view in Gorakhpur looks very attractive due to the excellent lighting. The CM expressed confidence that the floating restaurant will provide excellent facilities to the local people and tourists from the country and the world. The Chief Minister said that with excellent connectivity, a chain of hotels is going to open here now. A convention center is also going to be built soon.
