Lucknow: It is said that happiness increases by sharing happiness and giving happiness is the basis of getting happiness. Adopting this philosophy in his life, Industrial Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi has been distributing happiness among poor and needy families on Diwali in a different way for the last several years.
He has been celebrating the festival of Diwali with the children living in various Dalit settlements and slums of his Prayagraj City Southern Assembly constituency. Like every year, this year also Minister Nandi organized Diwali festival in a different way with the children living in various Dalit settlements and slums of his Prayagraj City Southern Assembly constituency.
On Deepawali, the children were made to do their favourite shopping, which this time was not in Prayagraj but in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. That too in Lulu Mall, one of the biggest malls of the country.
After a wonderful journey from Prayagraj to the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow and shopping in Lulu Mall, the children were overjoyed. Minister Nandi made the children do shopping in Judio’s mega store located in Lulu Mall. The children liked the clothes and other items there very much. The children of Dalit settlements were delighted to get their favourite clothes and other gifts. Their happiness knew no bounds. Before shopping for clothes, shoes and other items on Deepawali, the children had a lot of fun with Minister Nandi in Anandi Water Park.
They enjoyed bathing in the water park as well as the swings. Minister Nandi and former Mayor of Prayagraj, Abhilasha Gupta Nandi, themselves bought clothes from the mall and made the children choose and kept getting clothes according to their choice. The children were given complete freedom that they neither had to look at the budget nor the bill for buying clothes. You just have to choose clothes according to your choice. Children did exactly the same. Bought clothes of their choice.
Minister Nandi said that on Diwali, the festival of sharing happiness, it is a pleasure to see happiness and smile on the faces of children from poor families. Because whether poor or rich, everyone has the right to celebrate the festival. We all should try to spread happiness in everyone’s life. If God has made us capable of helping someone, bringing happiness to their homes, then we must do so. As part of this effort, every year we celebrate the festival of lights with children from poor families and try to bring happiness on their faces as well.
Former Mayor of Prayagraj Abhilasha Gupta Nandi said that Diwali is a festival of happiness and sweetness. It is a pleasant feeling to celebrate the festival with children in this way. We all should share happiness by taking poor children along.
