Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government has been introducing the future generation of Uttar Pradesh to the glorious history of India. The 100th anniversary of the ‘Kakori Train Action’ is being started from 9 August 2024. In this sequence, now the “Kakori Train Action” centenary celebrations will be organized. It will be celebrated throughout the year with various activities in the entire state in honor of the revolutionaries.
On August 9, a special event will be held in Kakori and Shahjahanpur in Lucknow. Under this, many competitions will be held in schools, colleges and universities, and the district administration will also honor the families of the freedom fighters. At the same time, the Forest Department will prepare Shaheed Smriti Vatika in every district in memory of the martyrs of Kakori. On the occasion of inauguration on August 9, preparations for Shaheed Smriti Yatra by 100 cyclists are also proposed.
Many literary and cultural activities including Kakori Literature Festival will be organized
Many activities will be organized on the instructions of the Yogi government. Kakori Literature Festival will also be held. An exhibition of books related to freedom fighters of Kakori, freedom movement, Kakori train action will be organised. Historians and experts will also hold dialogue programmes in schools and colleges. Dramatic presentation in the context of Kakori, book release, seminar will be organised by the history department of the university. Digital versions of books will also be released. There will also be poems, story writing competitions, open mics in schools and quiz competitions based on the lives of revolutionaries related to the Kakori incident.
Shaheed Smriti Vatika will be prepared in every district
The Yogi government has directed the forest department to prepare Shaheed Smriti Vatika in every district on the 100th anniversary of the Kakori train action. Apart from this, on-spot painting and camps will be organised at freedom struggle sites, martyr memorials by the State Lalit Kala Academy and the Education Department. There will be painting, mural and clay modelling competitions in universities, colleges, schools and colleges. Folk drama competitions, drama presentations on events related to martyr sites and memorials, drama festivals etc. will also be organised. Cultural processions will be taken out by the Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Culture, while on the other hand, there will be patriotic cultural programs on the birth anniversary and Balidan Diwas of the martyrs.

Along with this, related events will be held in other districts. On the instructions of the Yogi government, the district administration will also honor the family members of the freedom fighters.
The Culture Department has become the nodal, the event will be organized with the coordination and cooperation of many departments
The Kakori train action centenary celebration will be organized on the 100th anniversary of the Kakori train action. The Culture Department has been made the nodal for this. Along with this, this program will be made unforgettable with the coordination of the Department of Secondary Education, Home, Forest, Secondary, Basic, Higher Education, Tourism and Information-Public Relations. The postal cover will be issued by the Directorate of Culture in coordination with the Department of Posts.
