Prayagraj: In a groundbreaking move to captivate the attention of visitors, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is set to launch a stunning drone display at the Mahakumbh 2025, bringing legendary stories associated with Prayagraj and the sacred Mahakumbh to life.
According to a press release, 2,000 drones will light up the sky above Sangam Nose as part of an awe-inspiring performance scheduled for both the opening and closing of the renowned religious event. The drone show will commemorate the start and end of this spiritual spectacle, known for attracting millions of pilgrims and tourists.
District Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh confirmed that the magnificent drone display will unfold against the backdrop of Prayagraj’s Sangam Nose, showcasing the region’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. “The fleet of drones will illuminate the sky with mesmerizing visuals, recreating mythical events like Samudra Manthan (ocean churning) and the emergence of the Amrit Kalash (Nectar Pot),” Singh said. The drone show is expected to bring alive the famous stories of “Prayag Mahatmyam” and the Mahakumbh, offering a unique and captivating experience for both pilgrims and visitors alike.
