Bareilly: The two-day Cyber Hack Hackathon organised at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology and Research (SRMS CETR) concluded with an award ceremony held at the New Seminar Hall of the institute.
Hackathon Convenor Dr. Manvi Mishra described the event as a success and presented a detailed report on its proceedings. She said around 50 teams from across the country participated in the hackathon, including teams from Pilani and Ghaziabad as well as educational institutions in Bareilly.
Under the themes “Code Crack” and “Secure,” participating teams presented solutions to emerging challenges related to cybersecurity and digital security in the rapidly evolving digital era. The event also provided participants with practical exposure to various aspects of cybersecurity and security-based problem solving.
Team Code Red of SRMS CET secured the first position and received a cash prize of Rs 21,000. Team Silent Shell of SRMS CETR finished second and was awarded Rs 15,000, while Team Control_C_V of SRMS CETR secured third place and received Rs 11,000.
Team Byterush of SRMS CET and the joint team Code Nova from SRMS CETR and SRMS CET received consolation prizes of Rs 5,000 each.
Hackathon Coordinator Pramod Kumar Maurya expressed his gratitude to all guests, participants and organisers for their contribution to the successful conduct of the event. The programme was conducted by Imana Azram, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SRMS CETR.
The event was attended by GCS Council Director Vishal Gaur, GCS Council CMO Udit Narayan Gaur, Skill Spardha Director Ifam Hussain Zaidi, cybersecurity expert Arjun Kalra of HCS Technology, SRMS CET Principal Prof. Prabhakar Gupta, Director of the Placement Cell Dr. Anuj Kumar, SRMS CETR Dean Dr. Shailesh Saxena, deans of student welfare and proctors from other SRMS Trust institutions, heads of various departments and other distinguished guests.
