– Lucknow Development Authority Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar inaugurated boating service
Lucknow: People visiting Janeshwar Mishra Park located in Gomti Nagar Extension will now be able to enjoy boating as well. Authority Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar inaugurated the boating service by cutting the ribbon on the floating deck.
On this occasion, Secretary Vivek Srivastava, Additional Secretary Gyanendra Verma, Chief Engineer Avnindra Kumar Singh, Finance Controller Deepak Singh, Chief City Planner KK Gautam and Garden Officer Shashi Bharti along with other officers and engineers were present.
LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar said that people were demanding to start boating service in Janeshwar Mishra Park for a long time. Keeping this in mind, boating facility has been started in the park from today-19.11.2024. For which a floating deck has been built in the water body behind the national flag near Gate No. 6. From where 40 paddle boats and 10 battery operated boats will be operated. At present, 12 boats are being operated. The remaining 38 boats will be added to the fleet soon. He said that four people can go boating at a time in the paddle and battery operated boat. The ticket for the boat will cost Rs 50 per person, in which 20 minutes of boating time will be available. The boats will be operated and maintained by the company “Tiger Team Speed”. For which the company has signed a 5-year contract with LDA.
The Vice Chairman said that special attention has also been given to the safety of the people in the boating service. Under this, every person doing boating will be provided a life jacket by the operator of the service provider company, which will be mandatory to wear. Apart from this, the company has kept 02 motor-driven rescue boats (steamers) for rescue in any kind of emergency, in which trained operators have been deployed.
