Mahakumbhnagar: As preparations for the grand Maha Kumbh 2025 continue, authorities have introduced a state-of-the-art Multi-Disaster Response Vehicle to tackle potential disasters efficiently. Equipped with advanced features and tools, this vehicle aims to enhance disaster management efforts and safeguard lives during emergencies.

Equipped with Victim Location Camera

According to Pramod Sharma, the nodal and chief fire officer for Maha Kumbh, the vehicle is outfitted with cutting-edge tools designed to handle situations ranging from natural disasters to road accidents. One of its standout features is the ability to extract people trapped under debris using lifting bags with a capacity of 10 to 20 tons. Additionally, it has specialized machines capable of lifting and relocating heavy objects weighing up to 1.5 tons.

For operations involving dense debris, the vehicle is equipped with tools designed to cut and spread strong rubble efficiently. Moreover, the integration of a Victim Location Camera significantly aids in locating individuals trapped under collapsed structures or debris.

Powerful Features for Emergency Situations

The vehicle is also fitted with an inbuilt generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply for electronic devices during challenging circumstances. To prioritize the safety of rescue workers, the vehicle carries a range of protective equipment, including life jackets, life rings, rescue hooks, and life buoys.

Additionally, a temperature measuring device is installed to provide precise data during fire-related emergencies, further enhancing its utility in disaster scenarios.

Strengthening Disaster Management

This innovative deployment is set to bolster disaster management efforts significantly during the Maha Kumbh. Authorities believe the vehicle will not only ensure effective emergency response for the massive gathering of millions of devotees but also prove beneficial for other disaster management operations in the future.

“This vehicle represents a significant achievement in ensuring the safety of pilgrims and efficient disaster management during the Maha Kumbh. It will help the administration tackle any potential emergencies with enhanced readiness,” said Sharma.

With its introduction, the administration has taken a substantial step toward making Maha Kumbh 2025 a safer and more secure event for all attendees.
