New Delhi: Shikhar Dhawan announced his retirement from international cricket and domestic cricket on 24 August 2024. He has been out of Team India for a long time. Apart from this, his return to Team India also looked very difficult. Young players like Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal have also confirmed their place in the team. After retiring from domestic cricket, he will no longer be able to play in the IPL. Meanwhile, Dhawan has taken a big decision regarding his future. Dhawan will now be seen playing in the Legends League Cricket (LLC).

Dhawan said this about the future

Shikhar Dhawan said after joining Legends League Cricket, “I am ready for this new innings. I find this to be an ideal step after retirement. My body is still ready for a cricket match. I am satisfied with my decision. Cricket is a part of my life and I cannot be separated from it. I am looking forward to joining my friends once again and entertaining my fans.” LLC co-founder Raman Raheja welcomed Dhawan

Regarding Shikhar Dhawan’s joining the league, LLC co-founder Raman Raheja said, ‘We are happy that Dhawan is joining us. His experience will make this tournament more exciting. We can’t wait to see him in action again with the cricket legends.’

Many other legends also joined this league

Apart from Dhawan, many other players have also joined this league after retirement. Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill and Hashim Amla also joined the league after retiring from international cricket. This time the season of Legends League Cricket will start from September 2024. In such a situation, fans will soon see Dhawan on the cricket field.
