Lucknow: The Yogi government has prepared a foolproof plan to ensure the safe completion of the state’s biggest UP Police recruitment exam so far. The constable recruitment exam has started in two shifts from today. Static magistrates have been deployed at every examination center, while according to the number of candidates in the center, Deputy Superintendent of Police to Sub Inspector are present as center supervisors. Intensive monitoring is being done through CCTV cameras. All the candidates have been given entry into the examination center only after biometric verification. Today the first shift of the exam started at 10 am, but the candidates have been given entry till 9.30 am. The second shift of the exam is to be held from 3 pm.
More than 1174 examination centers have been set up in 67 districts for police recruitment on more than 60 thousand posts in Uttar Pradesh. In this exam, candidates from all 28 states and 08 union territories of the country will reach to take the exam. 42 lakh candidates are from UP only, while six lakh candidates from the rest of the states of the country are reaching to take the exam. Candidates are arriving from outside states Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan. Not only this, candidates from South Indian states Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh as well as Northeast states Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Assam and Manipur are also coming to take the UP exam.
Officials of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board said that 48.17441 candidates from all 28 states and eight union territories of the country are appearing in this examination. According to officials, the salary package of 35 thousand is the main reason for the application of candidates from remote states and union territories. This examination is being conducted at 1174 examination centers established in 67 districts of UPPRPB UP. About 482212 candidates can sit at a time. According to officials, 41,86,960 candidates are from Uttar Pradesh, while 6,30,481 candidates are from other states of the country.
In fact, the question paper of the constable recruitment exam was leaked in February. After this, the state government was criticized a lot. During this time, the Chief Minister had decided to conduct the examination again. The government is recruiting for 60,244 police constable posts, whose examinations are being conducted on 23, 24, 25 and 30, 31 August at 1174 centers in all 67 districts of the state. In Lucknow, this examination is being conducted at 81 centers. In Lucknow alone, 390720 candidates are expected to appear in the examination.
DCP (Central Lucknow) Raveena Tyagi said, “…Extensive police arrangements have been made. Adequate checking has been arranged at all the centers. All the examination centers are also being monitored with CCTV. Extensive arrangements have also been made at all bus stands, railway stations, police stations. Some holding areas have also been created where the candidates can stay for some time. Facilities of city buses and inter-district buses are also being provided.” Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) Chairman Rajiv Krishna said that various administrative and police officers and employees have been deployed for the examination. At the district level, the District Magistrate will work as the District Supervisor (Magistrate). He has made other administrative arrangements including examination center duty, deployment of Sector Magistrate, Static Magistrate.
Under this, the District Magistrate has deployed Assistant Center Supervisor along with Static Magistrate at every center. Apart from this, ADM has been appointed as Assistant Nodal Officer (Administration), while a Sector Magistrate has also been deployed at 03 examination centers. Flying squads will be ready to conduct a copy-free examination. Deputy Superintendent of Police will be deployed at the centers of the state where there will be more than one thousand candidates. At the same time, Inspector has been appointed at the center with up to one thousand candidates and Sub Inspector has been appointed at the center with up to five hundred candidates.
