PHDCCI Announces UPITEX 2026: Major Boost Expected for Trade and Manufacturing

Lucknow: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) on Friday successfully hosted the curtain raiser for the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Expo (UPITEX 2026) at PHD House, Lucknow. The chamber also announced the second edition of the UP Energy Expo (UPEX 2026) in collaboration with Firstview Media Group. The energy expo will be held from May 7–9, 2026, with a core focus on boosting business, manufacturing, and investment opportunities across Uttar Pradesh.

The event was attended by senior dignitaries including Rajesh Nigam (Co-Chair, UP State Chapter, PHDCCI), Ajay Kumar (Senior Project Officer, UP NEDA), Atul Srivastava (Senior Regional Director, PHDCCI), and Sudhir Bishnoi (Director & Head, Bureau of Indian Standards).

Rajesh Nigam announced that UPITEX 2026 will take place from January 23–27, 2026 at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow. He said the expo is the largest platform showcasing the state’s industrial diversity. “This year, it will be held on an even larger scale. UPITEX has been instrumental in accelerating industrial development and attracting both national and global investors,” he added.

UP NEDA’s Ajay Kumar highlighted that UPITEX is expanding opportunities in trade and manufacturing, while UPEX 2026 will focus on investments and technological advancements in solar and renewable energy—sectors critical to the state’s economic progress. “Our aim is to position Uttar Pradesh not only as India’s largest market but also as the most preferred destination for investors and exporters,” he said.

Scheduled for May 7–9, 2026, the second edition of UPEX will serve as a major platform for discussions on solar and renewable energy, emerging technologies, energy management, policy reforms, and investment opportunities. Organisers expect the expo to push new investments and advanced technologies, offering fresh momentum to the state’s economic development.

PHDCCI Senior Regional Director Atul Srivastava said, “Uttar Pradesh is among the fastest-growing industrial states in India. These expos will not only expand business opportunities but also connect local entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and investors directly with national and international markets. We encourage maximum participation to take the state’s economy to greater heights.”

Both expos are expected to significantly enhance trade, manufacturing, and investment prospects, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s position as a rising powerhouse in India’s industrial landscape.
