ElectriVa Expands Smart EV Charging Network in Indore, Boosting Clean Mobility Push

Indore: As India accelerates toward an electric mobility future, the focus is rapidly shifting from vehicle adoption to the creation of reliable charging infrastructure. Addressing this crucial need, ElectriVa has significantly expanded its smart charging network in Indore, making electric vehicle (EV) usage more seamless and dependable for residents.

The company’s growing footprint in the city now includes over 650 solar-powered charging points and more than 75 battery swapping stations, forming a robust ecosystem that supports uninterrupted EV commuting. This expansion is part of ElectriVa’s larger nationwide network, which has already surpassed 3,500 charging points and continues to grow steadily.

Unlike conventional setups, ElectriVa’s charging infrastructure is fully internet-enabled and automated, operating without human intervention. Users can easily locate nearby charging stations via mobile devices, make advance bookings at select locations, and charge their vehicles with minimal wait times. This smart system reduces uncertainty and enhances convenience, addressing one of the biggest concerns among EV users—accessibility and reliability.

Commenting on the development, Sumit Dhanuka, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of ElectriVa, said the company’s vision goes beyond merely increasing the number of charging points. “Our goal is to build a system that people can trust in their daily lives. In a city like Indore, this expansion is a step toward a sustainable and future-ready urban ecosystem. With rising concerns over petrol and diesel prices globally, our initiative offers a practical and reliable alternative for commuters,” he noted.

For Indore—already recognized for its cleanliness and urban management—this solar-powered charging network adds a new dimension to its sustainability efforts. By promoting clean energy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels, the initiative is expected to play a key role in curbing pollution levels while encouraging environmentally responsible transportation choices.

ElectriVa’s impact is already visible at a national level, with its network contributing to a reduction of over 5,150 tonnes of carbon emissions so far. The company has set an ambitious target of facilitating the installation of more than 1.2 million charging points across India by 2030, positioning itself as a key player in the country’s green mobility transition.

As Indore emerges as a model city for electric vehicle adoption, initiatives like ElectriVa’s expansion are not just strengthening infrastructure but also shaping a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable urban future.
