Lucknow: Inspector General Registration, Dr. Rupesh Kumar has taken strict action on the lack of expected increase in the revenue collection of the Stamp and Registration Department of Uttar Pradesh. During the review of revenue receipt from 1st to 15th June of the financial year 2024-25, it was found that less than 43 percent fulfillment has been ensured in many districts.
Due to reduction in revenue collection, officials of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Barabanki, Azamgarh, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Jhansi, Bareilly, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Moradabad, Hamirpur, Lalitpur, Pilibhit, Shravasti, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Banda, Sultanpur, Auraiya, Balrampur, Chitrakoot, Basti, Sambhal, Shahjahanpur, Hathras, Badaun and Mau districts have been warned.
Besides this, adverse entries have been given to the officials of at least 10 districts out of 25 districts having annual target of more than Rs. 300 crore – Firozabad, Jaunpur, Aligarh, Deoria, Agra, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow and Gorakhpur; at least 10 districts out of 22 districts having annual target of Rs. 200 to 300 crore – Amroha, Bahraich, Pratapgarh, Sitapur, Hardoi, Etawah, Kheri, Ghazipur, Ballia and Rae Bareli; and at least 10 districts out of 28 districts having annual target of less than Rs. 200 crore – Kanpur Dehat, Sonbhadra, Kasganj, Amethi, Fatehpur, Chandauli, Etah, Farrukhabad, Mainpuri and Kannauj.
