Lucknow: A delegation of traders met Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar to seek the opening of sealed commercial buildings in Aliganj whose owners have already deposited the prescribed fee under the authority’s settlement scheme.
The delegation, led by All India Industry Trade Board national president Sandeep Bansal, raised concerns over goods lying inside the sealed premises. Traders said medicines, FMCG products and other stock could deteriorate, expire or become unusable if the shops remained sealed for a prolonged period.
During the meeting, the delegation requested that the premises of those property owners who have complied with the settlement scheme and deposited the required charges be opened.
The LDA Vice-Chairman adopted a positive approach to the concern and asked the traders to provide an urgent list of the sealed premises along with details of the goods stored inside them. The objective, the traders said, is to prevent medicines and other perishable or time-sensitive products from being damaged or expiring.
Prathamesh Kumar authorised Chief Town Planner AK Gautam to examine the traders’ concerns and take steps towards resolving the issues.
Among those who attended the meeting were All India Industry Trade Board Lucknow metropolitan president Suresh Chhablani, senior general secretary Rajiv Kakkar, and vice-presidents Vinay Agrawal, Abhay Agrawal and Anuj Shivhari.
