MJPRU Scientist Among World’s Top 5% Researchers in Global Ranking

Bareilly: In a significant achievement for academia and scientific research, Prof. Alok Srivastava, Head of the Department of Plant Science and a senior scientist at the Faculty of Plant Science, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has been recognized among the World’s Top 5% Scientists by the SciRank Global Registry 2025.

The prestigious recognition has been awarded following a rigorous evaluation of scientific contributions, including research publications, citations, and other key bibliometric indicators. According to the official certificate issued by SciRank Global, Prof. Srivastava’s research credentials were independently verified before being included in the 2025 global scientific rankings.

Prof. Srivastava earned this distinction for his pioneering work in the field of heavy metal detoxification, particularly his research focused on transforming toxic metals such as arsenic, chromium, and mercury into non-toxic forms. His studies have contributed significantly to efforts aimed at reducing the health risks associated with these hazardous substances, including the prevention of serious diseases such as cancer.

The achievement has brought pride to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University and the state of Uttar Pradesh. Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. P. Singh, along with faculty members, researchers, and university staff, congratulated Prof. Srivastava on the international recognition.
