Lucknow: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Invest UP to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship and startup development in Uttar Pradesh. The agreement was exchanged in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Professor JP Pandey, Professor BN Mishra, Dean of Innovation at AKTU, exchanged the MoU with officials of Invest UP on behalf of the university’s Innovation Hub.
Under the partnership, Invest UP will help connect AKTU startups with industry partners, creating opportunities for collaboration, mentorship and business development. The two organisations will also jointly organise hackathons and other initiatives to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
The collaboration will further support startups in establishing industrial units with assistance from Invest UP, helping them translate innovative ideas into viable business ventures.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the university’s startup ecosystem and improve industry-academia collaboration, providing emerging entrepreneurs with greater opportunities to scale their ventures.
Dr Maheep Singh, CEO of the Innovation Hub, and Vandana Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), were also present on the occasion.
