Gonda: The Devipatan division on Monday held its latest edition of “Maa Pateshwari Shakti Samvad,” a public grievance redressal programme aimed specifically at women, under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal. During the hearing, officials listened closely to a range of complaints and problems brought forward by women from across the division, with the Commissioner directing all concerned officers to ensure that every case is resolved with quality, fairness, and within a fixed timeframe.
As part of the programme, officials also reviewed the status of action taken on complaints received in earlier sessions, and several cases were confirmed as successfully resolved.
Among them, a ration card under the Patra Grihasthi Yojana has now been issued to Shufiya Bano, daughter of Mohammad Razzak, a resident of Ramwapur Govinda village. In another case, a mutual dispute between the two parties involving Neelam, wife of Chhabulal from Kindhaura Pure Jaipattar village under Tarabganj police station and tehsil in Gonda district, was settled through reconciliation. A land-related issue involving Saraswati, wife of Gangaram, resident of Chaudhary Purwa in Moza Heerapur Kamiyar under Karnalganj police station, was also resolved, with officials carrying out a formal land measurement and clearing the way for construction work to begin on her share of the property.
Separately, a long-pending boundary dispute complaint filed by Neelam of Kindhaura Pure Jaipattar village in Tarabganj tehsil was also successfully settled. During the inquiry, the Tehsildar confirmed that a genuine dispute existed over the land boundary. Following this, revenue officials visited the site and facilitated a mutual settlement between both parties, bringing the matter to a close. According to the administration, no dispute currently remains between the two parties involved.
Divisional administration officials said that “Maa Pateshwari Shakti Samvad” has emerged as an effective platform for ensuring speedy justice to women across the region. The initiative has been consistently used to address issues related to ration cards, income certificates, inheritance rights (varasat), land disputes, domestic harassment, pensions, and various other public grievances, with swift action helping restore and strengthen women’s confidence in the administration.
Officials confirmed that a total of 35 complaints were resolved during Monday’s session of Maa Pateshwari Shakti Samvad.
