Under the guidance of Maj Gen Manish Kumar, YSM, SM**, ADG, HQ Recruiting Zone (UP & UK), who himself was an alumnus of the PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya AMC Lucknow, an outreach and interactive session was conducted on 02 November 2026 by Col Kapil Saraswat, Director Recruiting, Recruiting Office (HQ), Lucknow, with the aim of creating awareness among students about career opportunities in the Indian Army.
A team from Recruiting Office (HQ) comprising Maj Md Fasith, Sub Maj Jagveer Singh and Hav Clk Ajeet Kumar organised the outreach session. Mr Subodh Agnihotri, Principal PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya AMC Lucknow, 15 staff members, 500 students were attended the programme.
During the programme, students were briefed about various recruitment opportunities in the Indian Army, with special emphasis on various Officers Entries and the Agnipath Scheme. Detailed information was provided regarding the latest recruitment policies for officers through NDA, IMA, OTA and AMC, eligibility criteria, online exams and SSB. They were also aware about the Agniveer selection procedures and the recruitment rally process for the recruitment year 2026–27.
A motivational lecture was delivered to inspire students to consider a career in the Armed Forces and serve the nation with pride and dedication. They were inspired to be leaders in their field of choosing and contribute positively towards the dream of VIKSIT BHARAT – 2047. A special emphasis was made to motivate girl students to join Armed Forces especially through NDA.
The importance of discipline, dedication, physical fitness, leadership qualities and patriotism in military life was also highlighted. Students were encouraged to prepare sincerely and utilise the available opportunities to achieve their aspirations of joining the Armed Forces.
Handouts, posters and other publicity materials were distributed among the students and staff members to further disseminate awareness about Army recruitment.
The programme received an encouraging response from the students and staff, motivating young aspirants to explore career opportunities in the Indian Army and contribute towards Nation Building.
