Lucknow: In a decisive move to strengthen law and order, the Lucknow Police conducted a high-intensity checking operation across the Bazar Khala police station area. The drive targeted individuals engaging in illegal activities and creating public disturbances near sensitive spots.

Strategic Enforcement Under High-Level Supervision

The operation was carried out under the direct guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West Zone, Kamlesh Dixit, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Bazar Khala, Veerendra Vikram Singh. On the ground, the enforcement teams were led by Bazar Khala Police Station Inspector Brijesh Kumar Singh, who ensured thorough patrolling and inspection of public areas.

Zero Tolerance for Public Intoxication

A major focus of the campaign was curbing open alcohol consumption, which often leads to street-level harassment and security concerns. Key highlights of the enforcement actions include:

  • Targeted Inspections: Police teams conducted surprise checks outside various liquor shops within the jurisdiction.

  • Immediate Penalties: During the drive, 31 individuals were caught consuming alcohol in public spaces.

  • Legal Action: All 31 offenders were booked and penalized under Section 34 of the Police Act.
