Lucknow: The result of the work done under the leadership of Municipal Commissioner IAS Indrajeet Singh and after intensive efforts is that today Lucknow city is in first place at national level and has been awarded. In order to get first place for excellent work at national and state level in loan distribution to district-Lucknow under the most ambitious scheme of Government of India, PM Swanidhi, the Chief Guest of the program organized at the Directorate of Local Bodies, A.K. Sharma, Honorable Minister of Urban Development and Energy, Government of Uttar Pradesh, awarded the first prize to the Municipal Commissioner, Lucknow, which was received by the Additional Municipal Commissioner and Project Officer, DUDA, Lucknow.
The said award has been given to the district Lucknow in ‘Best performing ULBs at National and State level’ in loan distribution. Under this scheme, which was started to restore the employment of street vendors affected during the Corona period, 114792 loans have been distributed in Lucknow district so far against the target of 93758 first loans.
Under the scheme, street vendors are provided loans of 10000, 20000 and 50000. In the said program, stalls of products of their groups such as chickenwork products, herbal products, jute bags and other handicrafts etc. were set up by the self-help groups formed under the Day-NULM scheme of DUDA.
Special guest i Rakesh Rathore, Honorable Minister of State, Urban Development Uttar Pradesh Government and Secretary Urban Development Department and Director-Local Bodies Directorate, Director State Urban Development Agency, Uttar Pradesh, along with officials of other districts, bank representatives and city mission managers and community organizers of DUDA were present in the said program.
