Lakshya Sen learnt his lessons at Paris

Lucknow: Paris Olympics are among the memorable moments of my life. I performed brilliantly till the semi-finals. But losing after coming close to the medal was very sad. Losing to Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen in the semi-finals still hurts. This is what the country’s number one shuttler Lakshya Sen said. He registered an easy win in the first round of Syed Modi Badminton. In a conversation, he told that I have taken the defeat in Paris Olympics as a lesson.

There is still a lot of time for the Los Angeles Olympics (July-2028). I am working hard for that. I am trying to remove my shortcomings. If I come close to the medal in the next Olympics, I will not make any mistake. He said that it always feels good to play in Lucknow. After the year 2018, no Indian has become a champion in Syed Modi yet. There is a desire to win the title here, but a long way has to be covered for this. I cannot say anything right now. He said that this is a great time to play badminton. Also, I like the food here very much. Whenever I get a chance to come to Lucknow and play, I don’t miss it.
