Grand marriage of Ayodhya’s King Rama slated for December 6

Ayodhya: Preparations for the marriage of Lord Ram are going on in full swing. The marriage will be solemnized on 6th December next month. Before this, Tilak was offered, for which 501 Tilakharu i.e. Tilak offerers  reached Ayodhya from Nepal. The CM of Madhes state of Nepal left to attend the Tilkotsav ceremony of Lord Ram and by 7 pm his convoy reached Gopalganj.

Tilak has always come from Nepal for Lord Ram and this time also a Tilkotsav program is being organized before the marriage ceremony. During this, invitation of the baraat will also be given. The time of Tilkotsav was 2 pm, which will be done in Ramsevak Puram. More than 12 people have already reached here along with Raghunath Shah, the coordinator of the Mahasangh’s Nepal nation, for the preparations and all the arrangements of Tilkotsav.

Invitation letters sent to saints and mahants

Preparations are going on in full swing in Ramsevak Puram. A big stage of 100 x 90 feet is being prepared. Invitation letters have been sent to all the saints and mahants for the tilak festival and everyone has been invited.

In this invitation card, details of the baraat going from Ayodhya to Janakpur in Nepal on 26 November have also been given. Although a separate invitation card will be made for the baraat, but it will be sent to only a few baraatis.

Delicious dishes are being prepared

The role of Sita Mata’s younger brother will be played by Janaki Temple Janakpur’s younger mahant Ramroshan Das and he will offer tilak to Lord Ram. Many delicious dishes including potato tikki, papdi chaat, chole, rice, raita, halwa, papad, vegetable, puri have been arranged in the food for the 501 tilakharus who will offer tilak. Women are also participating in the Tilkotsav, who will sing the traditional folk songs sung in the Awadh region.
