Exhibition Organized to Commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University
Lucknow: On the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, a four-day ‘Inland’ Art Exhibition has been organized under the joint aegis of the State Lalit Kala Academy, Uttar Pradesh, and the Department of Fine Arts and Music. The exhibition is being held at the Amrita Art Gallery from February 25 to 28. On the very first day, a large crowd of art enthusiasts gathered to witness the display of artistic brilliance.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Poonam Tandon, while the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Rajwant Rao, was present as the distinguished guest. A total of 45 artists have showcased their artworks, covering a wide range of themes including nature, folk art, history, religion, and contemporary issues. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon praised the artists, stating that the exhibition highlights the diversity and creativity of Indian art. The exhibition will remain open for visitors from February 25 to 28, daily from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
On the occasion of the ‘Inland’ Art Exhibition, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Jaiveer Singh, expressed his appreciation and conveyed his message, emphasizing that such art exhibitions serve as a unique effort to present India’s rich artistic tradition and cultural heritage in a lively manner. He added that he firmly believes that this exhibition will provide visitors with valuable insights into the various forms of Indian art.
