Bareilly: District level monthly review meeting of District Road Safety Committee was held yesterday in the auditorium of Vikas Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer Jag Pravesh.
In the meeting, the Chief Development Officer directed the Executive Engineer Public Works Department to get the sign boards installed at the places where sign boards have not been installed yet. He said that it has often been seen that auto rickshaw drivers seat more school children than the capacity in the rickshaw, due to which there are more chances of accidents. He directed the District Basic Education Officer to issue a letter to all the schools, in which it should be mentioned that the auto rickshaw driver should seat children according to the capacity in the auto.
In the meeting, the Executive Engineer Public Works Department was instructed to install reflectors in vehicles to prevent accidents in view of fog in winter, so that accidents can be prevented and awareness programs should also be run under the traffic month.
Additional District Magistrate City Saurabh Dubey, SP Traffic Mohd. Akmal Khan, Basic Education Officer Sanjay Singh and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
